Learn how bars, restaurants, hotels, lodges, and guest houses can let customers know they are showing a live game or watch party.

Bars, restaurants, hotels, and lodges can turn match days into busy nights by listing watch parties on Funafuna. Add the game, time, and specials once — then let customers find you when they search for somewhere to watch.

Steps

Open your Vendor Dashboard
Watch parties are managed from the Vendor Portal after you claim your business.

Sign in to Funafuna, open your profile, and go to Vendor Dashboard (or Manage Listings). This is the same workspace where you update hours, photos, and contact details.

If you do not see Watch parties in the left navigation yet, make sure your listing is claimed and your business type is a venue that hosts live screenings — such as a bar, restaurant, hotel, lodge, or guest house. See Update Your Listing Details to keep your category and contact information accurate.
Go to Watch parties
In the left navigation, tap Watch parties.

This section is where you add live games and watch parties your venue is showing — for example EPL matches, Zambia Super League fixtures, or other major events customers search for on Funafuna.

Each watch party you add helps customers discover that you are screening the game, what specials you offer, and how to reserve a seat or table.

Add the game details
Create a new watch party and fill in the details customers need before they visit:
- Game or event name — e.g. Arsenal vs Chelsea or Zambia vs Ghana
- Teams playing — both sides, if applicable
- Date and time — when kickoff or coverage starts at your venue
- Venue notes — which screen, room, or area you are using
- Specials or deals — happy hour, combo meals, cover charge, or free entry
- How to respond — tell customers whether they should book, call, or WhatsApp you
The clearer your listing, the easier it is for fans to choose your venue and contact you before the match.

Add helpful details
Extra details help customers decide quickly. Where relevant, include:
- Big screen / projector — size or viewing quality if you want to highlight it
- Indoor or outdoor seating — and whether seating is limited
- Food and drink specials — match-day menus, buckets, platters, or happy hour
- Entry fee — cover charge or free entry
- Reservation instructions — table holds, minimum spend, or first-come seating
- Family-friendly or adults-only — set expectations for the crowd
- Parking or directions — especially for hotels, lodges, or venues off main roads
You can also keep ongoing promotions updated under Deals in your vendor dashboard — see Update Your Listing Details for deals and photos.
Save and review
When you are happy with the details, save your watch party.

Then open your public profile (use View public profile from the vendor dashboard) and confirm the game showing appears correctly — correct date, time, teams, and contact method.

Tips by business type

Focus on the sections that matter most for your category.

Bars

Highlight drink specials, seating (indoor/outdoor), entry fee if any, and the atmosphere — loud and lively or relaxed viewing. Mention if customers should WhatsApp to reserve a table or just walk in.

Restaurants

Highlight food specials, family seating, reservation instructions, and your closing time on match day. Note whether kids are welcome and if you take bookings for big games.

Hotels / Lodges / Guest Houses

Highlight guest access, whether the screening is in the bar, restaurant, or lounge, room packages for stayovers, and how visitors (not just guests) can book or enquire.

Can hotels and lodges use this for guests and visitors?: Yes. Hotels, lodges, and guest houses can list screenings in the bar, restaurant, or lounge — and note whether the event is for staying guests only or open to visitors. Include booking or enquiry instructions in your watch party details.
